Ubuntu Studio | Multimedia flavor of Ubuntu Linux

This April, there will be a new flavor of Ubuntu released, aimed at the multimedia audio, video, and graphics professionals and enthusiasts.

Ubuntu Studio's goal is to be a solid multimedia editing distro based on Ubuntu Gnome (Feisty Fawn).

It will have a default dark theme (with icons based on Tango Noir), and possibly a white/blue theme as well.



Ubuntu Studio will be the first Ubuntu derivative to include native support for widescreen (2560x1600) as well as dual monitor setups.

As a Graphics/Video professional myself, using two 19" Diamondtron CRT monitors, I will be watching the progress of this new Ubuntu flavor intensely. I am getting warm tingling sensations just thinking about it!

Just when you thought the Ubuntu experience could not get much better ...
